Wikipedia locale should be configurable, my locale doesn't have information of all artists in my collection so I'd like to configure the wikipedia 'applet' to use en.wikipedia instead.

I agree. Also, how does Amarok decide which locale to use? I have no extra localizations installed for KDE, so it's set to english. Instead Amarok shows info in italian... maybe from my IP location?

it uses the default system locale... however Qt determines that :)
