Description Jerome Quelin 2009-05-13 16:10:30 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.85)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

in system config:
- desktop / screensaver: i uncheck the need for password to stop screensaver
- advanced / energy / general config: i uncheck the lock screen on wake-up

however, after the screen stands by, it prompts for a password during wake-up.
regular screensaver does not seem to trigger the need for password.

i am not using a laptop.

Looks like a duplicate of Bug 186786 for me.
Comment 2 Jerome Quelin 2009-05-29 19:49:28 UTC
indeed, stopping powerdevil removes the locking.

however, i cannot uncheck powerdevil - it's always started when logging in, and i need to stop it manually.
