Version: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2) (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Gentoo) Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25-gentoo-r7-20080501 In Konqueror 3.x versions, Konqueror would automatically redirect from archive KIOSlaves to file:// when given a URL which didn't require them. (eg: zip:/home/me/) In Konqueror 4.x versions, the Up button or anything else but the "Back" button will leave you browsing folders via an archive KIOSlave, denying you access to various file management functions until you manually strip off the schema and hit enter. This is not conducive to a productive workflow and, in concert with several other bugs I'm about to report, keeps me on Konqueror 3.x for file management.
This is bug 166093/bug 170807 (which is duplicate of a KDE3 bug, So I don't know if this was working properly on KDE3, or may be the duplicate reference is wrong) Thanks *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 166093 ***
I dunno. I did notice Cut/Copy/Paste breaking frequently in KDE 3, but I never noticed the address bar having tar/zip schemas when unnecessary.
