Version: desconocido (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-11-generic I've installed KDE4 on a Acer Aspire One (8.9" screen). Initially all the fonts are too big so I've changed the size of all the fonts in "System Preference - Appeareance - Fonts". Now application fonts have the appropiate value (except Konqueror web content) but Plasma fonts remain too big (same size). For example, if I put the mouse over the system try clock a pop-up appears in which date/time is shown with really big size (while the fonts of the date/time in the system try itself have the small size I've configured). Basically I don't know where to change the plama font size, but anyway I expect that these fonts should be configured according to "System Preferences - Fonts" values.
ok, after restarting the KDE session, Plasma fonts get the correct size. However, they are not inmediatelly changed when setting a new value to System Preference - Fonts.
did you changed the DPI settings?
The first time yes, I changed DPI (from auto to 96 as far as I remember).
Confirmed using KDE 4.4 beta 2 and Qt 4.6.0. After changing the font sizes, some Plasma fonts remain the old size until restart, some are updated instantly. For example the tooltips used in panels still use the old font sizes while the font size used in the taskbar gets updated immediately. Bug #168343 could be related to this, or not.

Can you reproduce using KDE 4.4.4 or 4.5beta?
Tested at 4.7 - seems fixed.
