Description Tristan Miller 2009-04-25 22:49:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Reproducibility: Always

Steps to reproduce:
1. Take a screenshot
2. Click Save As…. A "Save As" dialog appears.
3. In the "Name:" field, type an absolute path and filename (e.g., /tmp/foo.png)

Observed behaviour:
4. The "Save As" dialog changes to the directory of the absolute path and clears the "Name" text field.

Expected behaviour:
4. KSnapshot should have saved the screenshot into the file specified by the user.

This bug does not occur with relative paths (e.g., ../foo.png), only absolute paths.

I've noticed this in another KDE 4.2.2 application, KNode, so perhaps this is an issue with KDE's file selector dialog globally.

Thanks for reporting. This is a actually an issue in the File Selector.
