Description Jose 2009-04-06 19:17:41 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-11-generic

I don't receive any notification when i copy files to my mp4 device using usb port.

Deleted files are send to trash (in the hard disk i think), taking a long time. In ubuntu, a trash folder are made in the mp4 file system (faster).

You don't see the blue "(i)" (information) icon in the System Tray while copying files? May be you are copying small files or a few ones, so you don't get the copying feedback notification progress.

About using local trash instead of the device one, I think this is already reported (but let me search it)

Thanks

No response. Marking as NEEDSINFO

I see something very similar when copying (large) files over to a USB memory stick: the progress dialogue (including the "i") goes away much before the copy is actually finished. This is confirmed by:
1) the light of the memory stick still flashing;
2) device notifier not being able to unmount because some files are in use.

A search gave me another very similar description in bug 150171.

I am using 4.2.4.
