Description Tero Kontkanen 2009-03-30 13:51:32 UTC
Version: 0.70.0 (using 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-11-generic

I'm user who is always online on messenger and keeps chat windows always open. Kopete worked fine for months of continuous uptime with KDE3 but not in KDE4 (4.2.0 and .1 tried).

Typical scenario is that I keep account & chat windows online over night and next day try sending a message to friend in already open window. It doesn't do anything. Message never gets thru and I have to switch my account to offline and go online again to make it work again. Alternatively closing chat tab and reopening it helps some times. With this workaround Kopete complains that messages are in sending process.

This is very annoying!

I have two MSN accounts configured in: one in @yahoo.com and one in @hotmail.com. The latter I use very rarely so I'm not sure if they have any difference in behavior.

This should be fixed in KDE 4.2.4 and 4.3 and later
