Description Torsten Ekedahl 2009-03-28 19:37:29 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Every now and then entries appear in the list of
active subjects that look malformed. It is usually a
matter of about 10 entries with the same title and
funny dates, like just the time of day 10:51 and no date
(not even Today). These entries do not disappear when
one chooses "Mark feeds as read". If I try to choose
one or several of them akregator (or kontact if I run it
under Kontact) crashes. It is not clear that it really
is a matter of malformed RSS sources as they appear in
feeds from different sources.

Backtrace:
Application: Kontact (kontact), signal SIGSEGV

Just a detail: KDE4.1.1 is considered *old*. Please update at least to KDE4.1.4 or KDE4.2.1. Thanks
Comment 2 Torsten Ekedahl 2009-03-29 08:12:52 UTC
Sorry, I misread the apt-get information. Looking at Help->About KDE
on a KDE application informs me that I have 4.2.1.

Comment 4 Torsten Ekedahl 2010-07-21 21:29:42 UTC
The problem persists in version 1.6.5 (KDE 4.4.5) with a slight difference. Now, nothing happens when I click on the entry but when I click on the particular feed (BBC) that they come from (I view 'All feeds') Akregator crashes with the following backtrace:

Application: Akregator (akregator), signal: Segmentation fault
