Description Tristan Miller 2009-02-25 16:11:29 UTC
Version: 1.9.10 (using KDE 4.2.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I recently upgraded from openSUSE 11.0 to openSUSE 11.1. After the upgrade, I noticed that whenever I start KMail 1.9.10, either alone or as part of Kontact, it freezes for about 60 seconds after opening. Not even the window is repainted. Meanwhile, CPU usage by the kmail process reaches 100%. After this delay, KMail works normally, with no abnormally high CPU usage.

I realize this could be caused by any one of a number of things, so if there are any suggestions for what I can do to narrow down the source of the problem, let me know and I'll do so. I know that the problem probably isn't caused by my LDAP configuration as in Bug 141993 (which has the same symptoms) as I don't have any LDAP servers configured.

Appears to be fixed in KMail 1.11.2.
