Description Dominik Acri 2007-02-20 18:25:15 UTC
Version: 1.9.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu1~edgy1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.19.2

Kmail freezes while starting. 100 % cpu load for 2-3 min. After 2 min Kmail works well again.
Problem apears after adding ldap server in addressbook.
Deactivating the ldap server solves the problem.

Got this bug too with 1.11.4 on KDE 4.2.4, openSUSE 11.1.

Please report whether this still happens in KDE 4.3

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
