Description Ilpo Kantonen 2009-02-23 20:33:01 UTC
Version: 0.8.1 (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When you capture an area on display, the KSnapshot says press enter to take a snapshot or esc to quit. Both of them doesn't work. I use Kubuntu. I have heard that one other person has the same bug on her computer with KSnapshot.

I (the person mentioned above) have the same problem.

Qt: 4.4.3
KDE: 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0)
KSnapshot: 0.8.1

I think the problem is when you lose focus to ksnapshot

1. run ksnapshot
2. select area screenshot
3. take screenshot
4. press alt-tab (switch active window)

Now there is no way (other than killing ksnapshot) to recover control of desktop.
KSnapshot is not displayed in application list under alt-tab.
You can use applications in the background through keyboard but there is no reaction on screen.

Can you check if this is related to bug 183742 / bug 160880; to merge them ?
Thanks
