Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources I had the same problem running Kubuntu 8.10, now I have it with OpenSUSE 11.1 kde 4.1.87 (KDE 4.1.87 (KDE 4.2 >= 20090101)) "release 3.1" Video card: Nvidia GeForce Go 7600/PCI/SSE2 with drivers 2.1.2 NVIDIA 177.82 Other hardware: 3GB ram, T5600 1.82GHZ dualcore, TwinView 2 monitors (same bug with only one monitor too). THE PROBLEM: Then any JAVA based application is in focus panel is "behaving wrong". Screen shots will explain better. Plain Screen shot when OOo Writer is focused: http://img401.imageshack.us/my.php?image=plasmabugqv8.png Screen shot when OOo Writer is focused with detailed info: http://img401.imageshack.us/my.php?image=plasmabugqv8.png Plain Screen shot when Firefox is focused: http://img261.imageshack.us/my.php?image=plasmabugffsb9.png This bug appears when any OpenOffice/ Zend studio/ Eclipse is in focus. Sometimes even with Adobe Reader 8. HOW TO REPRODUCE: This behaviour comes in to action when eg. Writer is active window AND when I hover my mouse over any plasma widget (hovering empty space does not reproduce bug). Despite widgets/ panes became unreadable they are working. eg. right click calls menu (unreadable as any other widget), left click brings application to focus. For normal use I have to focus any "normal" application like Firefox and hover each widget to bring back the correct view. For any detailed info please contact me 1lukas1 [at] gmailCOM P.S. If I had to guess, what create this bug, I would suspect plasma transparency feature, nVidia driver or problems with RAM usage (JAVA is hungry for ram, Adobe reader mostly bugs with large eBooks)
