Description mtz.inc .. 2009-01-10 22:40:53 UTC
Version:            (using Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources

using konqueror version Version 4.2.60 (KDE 4.2.60 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090106))

i have kde set to double click to do anything

i used to be able to move around files/folders with a mouse for easy selection so that i can delete/cut/copy multiple files/folders ..this is no longer possible because konqueror will give an option to copy or link when i drap a folder from one position to another on the same folder

test
open up konqueror
try to move a file/folder that is on the left side to the right side and konqueror will ask to copy/link/cancel ..

expected behavior ..
dont ask me what to do, just move the folder from where i got it to where i want to drop it ..windows2000 does this, windowsxp moves the back back where it was(annoying)

I can confirm this, however, I think what you are asking is to have an unsorted mode, items are currently always sorted.

Qt: qt-copy 979410
KDE: 4.2.92 (KDE 4.2.92 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090617))
kdelibs svn rev. 983828 / kdebase svn rev. 983852
on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.29.4

Dolphin (the KDE 4 default file manager and which is used by konqueror fior file management) doesn't allow to move files free on the view, you can only have files arranged to a fixed grid. This bug can be considered a duplicate of bug #176940.
