Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources gmail error "Connection to host mail.google.com is broken" this appears different than other bugs submitted and using ui=1 or masking doesn't solve the issue
This error probably suggests a network problem and not a konqueror bug. Does it work with another browser? Does it still happen now?
(In reply to comment #1) > This error probably suggests a network problem and not a konqueror bug. Does it > work with another browser? Does it still happen now? > No problem with opera, FF or Konqueror kde3.5 - just kde4 and it still happens
Hi, I can confirm the same issue here, with kde4.2 beta and ubuntu jaunty. It happens with all https sites, and i'm connected to the internet through a proxy server. Thank you.
I've same problem when using anon proxy. No problems with 4.1.3 using same proxy settings. konqueror(16413) FixHostUriFilter::filterUri: FixHostUriFilter::filterUri: KUrl("https://bugs.kde.org/") konqueror(16413) KonqMainWindow::openFilteredUrl: url "https://bugs.kde.org/" filtered into KUrl("https://bugs.kde.org/") konqueror(16413) KonqMainWindow::openUrl: url= KUrl("https://bugs.kde.org/") mimeType= "" _req= "[typedUrl=https://bugs.kde.org/ newTabInFront]" view= QObject(0x0) konqueror(16413) KonqMainWindow::openUrl: Creating new konqrun for KUrl("https://bugs.kde.org/") req.typedUrl= "https://bugs.kde.org/" konqueror(16413)/kparts KParts::BrowserRun::scanFile: KUrl("https://bugs.kde.org/") kio_http(16460)/kio (kioslave) KIO::SlaveBase::checkCachedAuthentication: window = 65011713 url = KUrl("https://bugs.kde.org:443/") kded(10913)/kio (KPasswdServer) KPasswdServer::checkAuthInfo: User = "" , WindowId = 65011713 kio_http(16460)/kio (kioslave) KIO::SlaveBase::checkCachedAuthentication: window = 65011713 url = KUrl("http://172.16.42.135:8080") kded(10913)/kio (KPasswdServer) KPasswdServer::checkAuthInfo: User = "" , WindowId = 65011713 kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::sendQuery: ============ Sending Header: kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::sendQuery: "GET / HTTP/1.1" kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::sendQuery: "Host: bugs.kde.org" kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::sendQuery: "Connection: close" kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::sendQuery: "User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.1; Linux) KHTML/4.1.96 (like Gecko)" kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::sendQuery: "Accept: text/html, image/jpeg, image/png, text/*, image/*, */*" kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::sendQuery: "Accept-Encoding: x-gzip, x-deflate, gzip, deflate" kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::sendQuery: "Accept-Charset: utf-8, utf-8;q=0.5, *;q=0.5" kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::sendQuery: "Accept-Language: en-US, en" kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::sendQuery: "Cookie: Bugzilla_login=18898; Bugzilla_logincookie=LxBklCflFu" kio_http(16460)/kio (TCPSlaveBase) KIO::TCPSlaveBase::disconnectFromHost: kio_http(16460)/kssl KTcpSocket::showSslErrors: "The host name did not match any of the valid hosts for this certificate" kio_http(16460)/kssl KIO::TCPSlaveBase::startTLSInternal: Cipher info - advertised SSL protocol version 8 negotiated SSL protocol version 8 authenticationMethod: "RSA" encryptionMethod: "AES" keyExchangeMethod: "DH" name: "DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA" supportedBits: 256 usedBits: 256 kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::readResponseHeader: ============ Received Status Response: kio_http(16460) HTTPProtocol::readResponseHeader: "HTTP/1.1 200 OK " konqueror(16413)/kparts KParts::BrowserRun::slotBrowserMimetype: found "text/html" for KUrl("https://bugs.kde.org/") konqueror(16413) KonqMainWindow::openView: "text/html" KUrl("https://bugs.kde.org/") childView= KonqView(0x23dbb70) req: "[typedUrl=https://bugs.kde.org/ newTabInFront forceAutoEmbed]" konqueror(16413) KonqFactory::createView: Trying to create view for "text/html" "" konqueror(16413)/kdecore (trader) KMimeTypeTrader::query: query for mimeType "text/html" , "Application" : returning 8 offers konqueror(16413)/kdecore (trader) KMimeTypeTrader::query: query for mimeType "text/html" , "KParts/ReadOnlyPart" : returning 2 offers konqueror(16413) KonqFactory::createView: "khtml" : X-KDE-BrowserView-AllowAsDefault is valid : false konqueror(16413)/kdecore (KLibLoader) findLibraryInternal: plugins should not have a 'lib' prefix: "libkhtmlpart.so" konqueror(16413)/kdecore (KLibLoader) findLibraryInternal: plugins should not have a 'lib' prefix: "libkhtmlpart.so" konqueror(16413)/kdecore (KLibLoader) kde4Factory: The library "/opt/kde4trunk/lib/kde4/libkhtmlpart.so" does not offer a qt_plugin_instance function. konqueror(16413) KonqView::changePart: Reusing service. I think this is a duplicate of bug 177432.
@maelcum: seems like a proxy-related regression?
SVN commit 910708 by ahartmetz: Workaround for bug #179934: connection errors with SSL and proxy I'd like to stress that this is a workaround for a long-standing Qt bug, not a proper fix. Some performance is probably sacrificed. No measurements though. BUG:179934 M +6 -6 tcpslavebase.cpp WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=910708
