This error probably suggests a network problem and not a konqueror bug. Does it work with another browser? Does it still happen now?

No problem with opera, FF or Konqueror kde3.5 - just kde4 and it still happens

I can confirm the same issue here, with kde4.2 beta and ubuntu jaunty. It happens with all https sites, and i'm connected to the internet through a proxy server.

I've same problem when using anon proxy. No problems with 4.1.3 using same proxy settings.
