Description Dotan Cohen 2008-12-01 12:03:33 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

While trying to file a bug on the KDE 4 system tray, I selected the component System Tray from the list and went through all the steps of filing a bug with no warnings or errors from Bugzilla. Then, as I clicked the final Submit button I got this error:
"""
Sorry, entering bugs into the product kicker has been disabled.
"""

That message should have been given when the systemtray component was selected, not at the end. Furthermore, it should tell which component replaces systemtray, as KDE4 does in fact have a system tray.

The same thing happened to me today.

Issues with reporting bugs should be fixed by the new bug reporting mechanism being implemented with the upgrade to Bugzilla 3.4.
