Version: 0.5 (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-10-generic It would be nice if krandrtray could select one of some predefined configurations depening on the currently plugged in monitors. It should be even possible to do this on hotplug events, as I'm notified when a new monitor is plugged in.
4.4.0 - Fedora 12 packages I have a laptop user that keeps their lid closed when docked, but KDE keeps wanting to extend the desktop to the laptop display. It would be helpful if KDE could remember that when DVI1 is connected to disable LVDS.
I agree - i often use my laptop a home (laptop display), at work (two displays, no cloning), at work for presentation(laptop diplay, beamer, cloning). It would be a good idea to add the possibility to define configuration profiles to krandrtray/kde. - new xrandr configuration should be persistable with a configurable profile name - if there are more than one monitors detected as connected a fancy fullscreen dialog should be raised on all monitors which requests the selection of one of the predefined profile or to create a new profile.

Thank you for your bug report or feature request. Unfortunately, we did not have a maintainer for the "krandr" components, which are used to manage displays and monitors in the KDE Workspaces. The "krandr" components has been superseded by "KScreen" in newer releases of the KDE Workspaces. It is compatible with all versions since 4.11, and is also used with Plasma 5. Please check with your distribution how to update to KScreen. If this issue or feature request is still applicable to KScreen version 1.0.5 or newer, please add a comment. We will then reassign this ticket to KScreen developers. If you are already using KScreen to manage displays or monitors, and found a different bug or need a specific feature, please create a new ticket for "KScreen" product in this bugzilla using this link: https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=KScreen (This is an automatic message from the KDE Bug Triaging Team)
