Description FernandoMiguel 2008-11-23 19:04:59 UTC
Version: 1.10.90 (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

My problem with KDE4 is the zoom... it stop working as it did on KDE3.
If I increase the letter size, when i change to the next email, it will reset. If I again increase the size it will start from where the last email was... annoying.

But I cannot EVER reduce the size.... bad kmail.

its a serious regression.

Where do you increase the letter size? In the mail view? I only see two combo box, one for font and other for font size.
How do you increase the letter size? Using those combo box or a key shortcut?

Using the combo boxes, I can change the font size to any size allowed by the font.

It is true, that when I close the current mail view and open another mail, the default font size is choosed. Is this a bug?

The screenshot with the combo boxes

Ctrl+Mouse Wheel allows me to increase and decrease the font size.

And still, the next mail view is using the default size.

But, this is working as you describes in the preview panel.

I meant on the message list preview, not the full screen message.

I cant decrease less then the initial value. In KDE3 I could.

> And still, the next mail view is using the default size.

Not for me.
The zoom is initially reseted, but if I try to scroll up, it will start to increase from the value of the last change.

> tmcguire: Zoom out not working is probably a KHTML change, I bet it doesn't

Yes that is correct. konqueror also shows the same behaviour.

The part where the zoom cant be lowered then the initial value was cloned to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=176069

I like how it works now: I prefer if kmail doesn't remember the zoom.
Comment 9 Laurent Montel 2011-09-08 10:35:30 UTC
I don't understand, you want a zoom in message viewer ? (not there is zoom in message viewer) or in composer ?
Comment 10 FernandoMiguel 2011-09-08 10:38:22 UTC
I no longer use Kmail actively.
unsubbing from the bug report
Comment 11 Laurent Montel 2012-07-16 08:03:35 UTC
