How to reproduce bug:

Go to https://bugs.kde.org/query.cgi. Click on a dropdown list (<select> element) (eg Product), then select an item (eg. abakus), and don't let the box lose focus (don't click anywhere). Open the dropdown list again by clicking on it, and select an other item (eg. adept). The previously selected item will be still selected instead of the new one until the list loses focus. 

Expected behavior:

The selection should be updated immediately when clicking on it.
