Version: amarok version 2.0 svn (using KDE 4.1.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs amarok does not play mp3 if directory name (path) contains '[' or ']' symbols. Example: ~music/Queen/LiveAtWembley/01-OneVision.mp3 -- play normally ~music/Queen/LiveAtWembley[1986]/01-OneVision.mp3 -- does not...

Along with info from Bug 173852 I am using gstreamer with asscociated bad/ugly plugins from mdv 2009 as the backend
I am using Amarok: Version: 1.90-0.866096.6mdv2009.0 Currently installed version: 1.90-0.866096.6mdv2009.0 Group: Sound Architecture: i586 Size: 29794 KB
Please try switching from the GStreamer Phonon backend to the xine Phonon backend. If you don't have it, you'll have to install the package.
I have switched, now amarok work normally.
Ok, clearly a Phonon GStreamer bug. Reassigning.
Created Qt task 246189 to track this issue.
Fixed in Phonon/Gstreamer as of change 932756
Thank you so much Jens. Closing.
