Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources KDE 3 has a feature where you can set a different background (wallpaper, etc.) for each virtual desktop / virtual workspace. I like and depend on this feature because this way I can readily distinguish between the virtual desktops, and because it makes my computer usage more lively. I considered it a KDE killer feature. So I was very disappointed to discover this feature has disappeared in KDE-4.0.x and still not restored in KDE-4.1.x or in KDE-4.1.70 as installed by Mandriva Linux Cooker. As a result of this lack, I found using KDE 4 extremely frustrating (due to the phenomenon documented in http://www.joelonsoftware.com/uibook/chapters/fog0000000057.html ) - so much that I now returned to KDE 3 temporarily. Please fix it, or let me know what I can to help (I'm a programmer who knows C++). Regards, -- Shlomi Fish
