Version: (using KDE 4.1.2) Installed from: SuSE RPMs I have one huge problem using Linux on my Laptop: the CD drive In order to eject the drive I need to push a special key. This key is not supported by KDE4/Linux. It would be nice if the Device notifier lists unmounted CD drives (and possibly other ejectable devices) such that I can eject teh drive in order to insert a cd. Moreover, I find it very unclear, how plasma decides on CD types. There exist AudioCD with added FAT file system - I currently can not chose which partition I want to open. Thanks
i think this bug can be closed as devicenotifier now unmount CD's
No, it should not be closed! Please read carefully: It is not about the ability to unmount cds. It is about the ability to show cd drives even if no cd is inserted. This is not yet covered (in KDE 4.2). And this is exactly my problem: I can not open the cd drive in order to insert a CD! Thanks for listening anyways
