in kde3 and other desktops, a user can change desktops simply by moving the mouse wheel back and forth ontop of the desktop ..currently, the only way to do this in kde4 is to first have the mouse cursor over the pager ..

i am just wondering if its possible to be able to have this functionality back and if not, why not?

mouse wheel movememnt has different use depending on plasmoids ..currently, it doesnt do anything when applied on the desktop but away from any plasmoid
