Description Bassio 2008-07-14 16:37:43 UTC
Version:           3.9.0 (using 4.1.60 (KDE 4.1.60 (KDE 4.2 >= 20080709)), compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-19-generic

It appears to me that making a kde project (I tested kde kparts and kde gui templates) .. does not create a kdev4 file.
i.e. only the source file and dirs are created without a kdev4 file

The result is that there is no project created and you can't configure it .. can't open it eventually etc. etc.

yeah, I've mailed Ann-Marie but apparently she's basically "away" the whole summer. This only happens with the templates from kdesdk/kapptemplate because those don't include a .kdev4 file in the template as the templates that ship with kdevelop. Its probably not a solution though to just put the .kdev4 file into those templates...

moving this to the one with the "fix" proposal (i.e. generate .kdev4), which I'll be doing shortly.
