Many KDE users organize their photos with Digikam. Not all photos that one collects would be good for the photo rotation screensaver. Integrating Digikam with the screensaver would let the user select which pictures to use in the screensaver, based on criteria similar to the current Digikam search facility:
1) Images with specific tags.
2) Images with specific star ratings.
3) Images in certain date ranges.
4) Possibly other criteria.

I was to suggest the same thing. With hundred of pictures not all of them worth seeing it's good to have some options to filter them in the configuration dialog.
