Version: 0.6.3 (using KDE 4.0.3KDE 1.2) Installed from: Fedora RPMsFedora RPMs OS: Linux When Okular goes into Full Screen mode, it does not return back to normal mode even after selecting the "Exit Full Screen" menu item from the Settings menu. Even when Okular is closed and reopened for same/some other file, it goes directly into Full Screen mode.
bug #160628 that strikes back?
This happened to me as well. I had reported on it at the development mailing list, the 3rd item in http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/okular-devel/2008-May/001045.html and at the end of http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/okular-devel/2008-May/001050.html . A workaround for those who are imprisoned is to delete (or better rename, if you want to remember useful settings) the files okularrc and okularpartrc in your local .kde4/share/config directory. It might be that deleting one of the files is already enough...
Hello Subhankar, do you still have this problem with more recent KDE & Okular versions? Hint: to avoid deleting configuration file, you just need to open ~/.kde4/share/config/okularrc (or ~/.kde/, depending what is your local directory for KDE 4) then finding a couple of lines like: [Desktop Entry] FullScreen=false Removing them and saving should "exit" from the fullscreen mode.
No answer from the reported in more than a year, please reopen if you still have this problem.
According to http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=508634 bug is still present in SC 4.4.5, reopening.
Problem is better, but still exists. This is what I do/see: 1. Open Okular and go to full screen mode. 2. Log out. Log back in. 3. Okular reloads, but menu and other toolbars are gone. To bring things back, you have to press Ctrl-M to bring the menu back and restore things from there.
What you guys are reporting have nothing to do with the original bug so i'm closing this bug. Please do not hijack bugs, it makes things very difficult to follow. Please open a new bug indicating the menu/toolbars loss on okular restart when closing with full screen.
