Description usrrgt 2008-03-22 23:01:30 UTC
Version: 0.8.5 (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Zoom in/out option for video files, like as BSPlayer.
Comment 1 Nick Shaforostoff 2009-06-11 10:48:45 UTC
could you please explain what you want for those who haven't heard of bsplayer?

also, should this really be assigned to dragonplayer instead?
Comment 2 usrrgt 2009-06-11 13:53:17 UTC
In BSPlayer, you can zoom in and zoom out the image of video files. For example, like you can zoom in and zoom out images at Okular.
Comment 3 usrrgt 2009-06-11 13:55:18 UTC
I prefer Kaffeine, because it has got more features than Dragon Player.
Comment 4 Christophe Thommeret 2009-06-11 14:11:27 UTC
If you are speaking of kaffeine kde3, zoom is implemented, see menu->Player->Video->Zoom
Comment 5 usrrgt 2009-06-11 14:56:49 UTC
Oops! Excuse me! :-(
OK. Then, reassign to Dragon Player if it's possible.
Comment 6 Nick Shaforostoff 2009-06-11 15:20:10 UTC
do you want fine tuning of zoom? because dragonplayer correctly resizes video when i change window size using mouse. also, pressing = reverts zoom back to 100%
Comment 7 Nick Shaforostoff 2009-06-11 15:22:15 UTC
p.s. i use xine engine, cudn't properly set up gstreamer one....
Comment 8 Christophe Thommeret 2009-06-11 15:23:42 UTC
Both DragonPlayer and Kaffeine4 use Phonon as engine, and atm Phonon does not provide zoom in/out API.
Comment 9 usrrgt 2009-06-11 18:06:12 UTC
Then, reassign this wishlist to Phonon.
Comment 10 Stefan Neufeind 2010-02-13 21:04:44 UTC
yes, it was available in kaffeine for kde3.

Please re-assign to phonon then maybe.

PS: On the kaffeine-website I read that phonon is no longer needed. But I guess that means it's optional and still used if available, isn't it?
Comment 11 Stefan Neufeind 2010-02-13 21:13:48 UTC
ps: there is bug #204191 for zoom in phonon

This bug is too old, for a version < 1.3. Closing it, as the latest version is 2.0.1, and lots of things changed since version 1.2.x, including the usage of VLC as video display backend, support for DVB-T2 and ISDB-T via libVLC, etc.

You may check on the upstream version and see if the bug was solved. The README file contains instructions about how to compile it. You can find it at our git repository:

https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kaffeine.git

If you find similar issues with version 2.0.1, please re-open.
