Version: (using KDE 3.5.7KDE 1.2) Installed from: Slackware PackagesSlackware Packages Compiler: GCC 4.1.2 Didn't compile it myself OS: Linux The clock is out by an hour. If I set it to the correct time, a few seconds later the time is once again set to the wrong time (out by an hour) I choose Settings->System Administration-Date & Time The time zone is set to Europe/Guernsey. I set it to Europe/London by clicking on that entry. It ignores me and leaves it at Europe/Guernsey. I try other time zones. Actually any one and it remains at Europe/Guernsey except occasionally it sets it to Europe/Lisbon but never anything else. I have copied Europe/London to /etc/localtime. There is no TZ variable set. I am at a loss to know what to do next.

A fix has been posted on bug #170163
confirming the clock timezone function still does not work correctly in kde 4.14.3 (slackware 14.2) setting the zone to london europe/united kingdom sets the timezone to guernsey/europe If you set the timezone to lima america/peru and then to london europe/united kingdom (and correcting the time appears to work. Any chance the fix could be tested/applied so it could be used. thanks
Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Kcontrol has been replaced by System Settings in Plasma. Please give the latest version of that a try, and open a new bug in "systemsettings" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you!
