Version: 0.12.7 (using KDE 3.5.8) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Compiler: gcc version 4.1.3 20070929 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.2-16ubuntu2) OS: Linux Sending long URLs in Kopete can get a little ugly -- especially long ones. If they could be sent as embedded URLs like Y!, AIM, and Trillian can do on Windows, that would be very -very- nice.
This request still stands for the latest Kopete from KDE 4.3.4. A workaround, thought not preferable, is to use TinyURL. What I am trying to get back as a feature was when I would send a link, it would automatically convert it from a link to the word "link" which was a hypertext link. That was really nice for things such as Google Maps and their obscenely long links.

My apologies. I updated the wrong bug.
Hi, sorry for the bad news, but AIM was discontinued last year, so I will be closing this bug. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
