Version: 1.9.7 (using KDE 3.5.7, Gentoo) Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.23-gentoo-r5 Clicking at "Contact" at this page http://pagesperso-orange.fr/sebastien.godard/changelog.html opens the Link "mailto:sysstat%20%3Cat%3E%20orange.fr" for KMail. However KMail puts the string "sysstat orange.fr <at>"into the "To:" line. I would expect a "To:" line like "sysstat@orange.fr"
Confirmed.
The web page is the problem, the mailto link is actually "sysstat <at> orange.fr" The reason for that is to prevent spam bot harvesting by munging the e-mail address. There is no standard for munging e-mail as the bots would be updated to handle it, therefore making it useless. I recommend this bug be closed as N/A or something to that effect. However, for an enhancement, put the entire line in the To: field while still be compatable to the subject/body that can be in mailto links. So instead of "sysstat orange.fr <at>" it would be "sysstat <at> orange.fr" However, there may be a reason for putting the <at> at the end. Can someone enlighten us?
The same behaviour in kmail 1.11.90 (kde 4.2.65).
This is a duplicate of #82827, no?
(In reply to comment #4) > This is a duplicate of #82827, no? Probably yes, although the original bug report complains about "it stays unconverted" where this issue complains about a wrong reordering of the text components.
issue still in KMail Version 1.12.3 Using KDE 4.3.3 (KDE 4.3.3)
