Version: 1.6 (using KDE KDE 3.5.8) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package OS: Linux it seems i got no cable so i can't use analog output. so i tried to use numeric ouput: and the conclusion why is it such a mess to make it work (when it worked actually as it is not) with output set to arts it works (but i hate that crap of arts that crashes when it should not) when i set it to alsa, i can't get any sound. and whatever the sound device i choose (WHY is it me that have to chosee THAT ?) i get an error about /dev/sr0 1) why do i get an error about "/dev/sr0" (my dvd/cdrom device) when the error seems related to the alsa output ???? CD-ROM read or access error (or no audio disc in drive). Please make sure you have access permissions to: /dev/cdrom 2) i tried all the device in /dev/snd/* , /dev/sound/*, /dev/dsp, ... and when i think that some 'people' say that linux is ready for the desktop OMG !
