Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

In the main program the term "mail transport" is used. Please use it also in settings because currently it is confusing "am I configuring mail transport or some special transport?".

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.

The word "transport" is still occasionally used not as part of the word collocation "mail transport", e.g.:

messages/kdepimlibs/libmailtransport.pot:567:msgid "This transport cannot be configured."

Therefore this bug/wish is still valid in Git as of 18/08/2012 (post-KDE SC 4.9.0).
