Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Let's say I have Polish text on the web page: żółw Copy (source) -> paste (target): Konq -> OOfice -> bad (!) FF -> Office -> ok Kate -> OOfice -> ok Konq -> Kate -> ok By "bad" I mean every Polish letter is replaced by two strange letters -- it looks almost like some kind of "UTF-8 to raw 8bit" replacement.
PS. It happens when the page is displayed! so when I was editing I was not able to show any bad example because żółw (from text area) was żółw in OOffice but after submitting this report żółw was "translated" into żółw in OOffice
If analysed this before, and IIRC it's an OOo bug --- it doesn't properly support utf-8 clipboard, and messes up decoding in some other cases. Can't find the report ATM, though.

Stupid me didn't include the analysis in bugzilla... Wonder whether I still have my notes on this.. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 123865 ***
Actually, see the comment by "sadeagle@openoffice.org" (stupid OOo bugzilla didn't use maksim@kde.org) on here for the analysis: http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=55986
confirming problem with diacritic character pasting (kde 3.5.7, oo.org m225). though now the only app i could reproduce the problem with is konqueror (as i noted on the oo.org report), so i am not completely sure which app to blame.
