Description Bartosz Malinowski 2006-03-18 19:57:59 UTC
Version: 3.5.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux

The non-latin-1 (eg. iso-8859-2) characters in text pasted from Konqueror to Openoffice as html get corrupted. This does not occur if I paste html-formatted text from Firefox.

greetings,
b.

Hmm, it seems I've screwed up the encoding somewhere. I'll look into it

After looking at this with SadEagle, we are fairly convinced that this isn't kde's fault.

It does seem that we encode the text as utf8.

I will look into it a bit more, but it does look like this bug will just be closed and marked invalid.

Maksim, I'd better copy this link here too:

It is a bit strange, that without any improvement on the OOffice side, Opera->OOffice fixed itself.
Comment 7 Linus Östberg 2008-05-16 11:39:43 UTC
It seems to work fine in 3.5.9 and trunk (r607699) with OpenOffice 2.4.0, but maybe I'm just lucky.
Comment 8 Maciej Pilichowski 2008-05-16 15:10:18 UTC
Works for me too (KDE3.5.9 + OO2.4.0).
Comment 9 Michael Leupold 2008-05-20 23:18:03 UTC
I can confirm this works in 3.5.9 and trunk r810280 using OpenOffice 2.4. It didn't work in OpenOffice 2.3 so I guess they fixed it on the OO side.
