We need a better backtrace. Please refer to http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports .

Commenter #2, your backtrace also appears in bug 146321 as well. I'm waiting for the original reporter to confirm that this bug is a dupe of bug 146321.
Comment 4 Tim Zietz 2007-06-05 03:25:53 UTC
I have a very similar crash of knetworkmanager immediately after booting up after updating opensuse 10.2. This is on an IBM Thinkpad 600x. I'm using ndiswrapper for a linksys wireless network adapter that has previously run flawlessly! The backtrace is almost identical.

Here is the back trace to my comment in #4 above. Sorry, I'm new this bug reporting. This error/crash occurred in an IBM Thinkpad 600x running opensuse 10.2 immediately on boot up following running a software update on 6/4/2007. I'm running a linksys wireless network adapter under ndiswrapper, which had operated flawlessly up until now. Every time I try to run knetworkmanager, the exact same crash occurs. The backtrace follows:

I can confirm, it was a bug related with the opensuse distribution.

I've upgraded again to the last release and it works fine.

Thanks for the support!!!

Sorry all, my fault for letting a 10.3 feature leak into the 10.2 rpms - normal service will be resumed shortly.
Comment 16 Antenore 2007-06-06 11:56:58 UTC
IMHO
Only who works makes mistakes!!! No problem at all! I'm not using the stable branch and it's normal to expect problems.

Really NP and thanks for your support!

I don't know how to get things working again. I tried to reinstall knetworkmanager from my dvd, but I still get the same error. Can anyone assist on this?

Thanks!

I think you have more luck with asking this on a forum or mailinglist (eventually dedicated to openSUSE) than on this bug tracker.

Could someone direct me to the location of 3.5.7 release 31.1 update? I am not able to use the build service directly, since I can't get a connection going although the system recognizes my hardware and the router signal. I can copy the rpm onto a card an install with yast. Thanks for your advise.
