Description A S Alam 2007-03-31 04:11:14 UTC
Version: 1.9.6 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux

using kmail as default Email client for Gmail services, with this, getting mailing from various mailing lists
include release-team_kde.org,
now, when I got mail from any address (personal mails), and click "Reply" button, it always shows "Release-team_kde.org" in TO Field, which should not.

Sometime it make wrong posting, like yesterday a personal mail on mailing list

http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/release-team/2007-March/000212.html

This was not first time, but 1 year ago, faced same problem with kde-3.5.4 version

KDE bug :http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81778
seems to same, but this is happening with Gamil, so this it seems not to fix by Email provider, but
will be thankful if kmail willing to fix itself more for persoanl email client

Thanks

"Reply to All " also add mailing list, where it is not required

So this mail is not in any way related to the release team mailinglist (check all headers please)?
Have you perhaps incorrectly configured your folder for mailing lists? Please check "Folder->Mailing List Managment...".

>"Reply to All " also add mailing list, where it is not required
No, it is Replay to *ALL*. That is how it should work.

Yesterday I set the Mailman option "Where are replies to list messages directed? Poster is strongly recommended for most mailing lists." to "Poster" for a list I administrate. Today I send a personal reply to a message someone sends to the list. I trusted KMail to get this right and didn't check the To address after hitting reply (I saw there was no "Reply-to" address in the message preview), but it went to the list. This is doubly-embarrassing since I'm the list admin.

The headers for the message I pressed 'reply' to:

Folder -> Mailing List Management shows a dialog, but the checkbox isn't selected, everything else is disabled.

"Reply to All" "Reply to Author" and "Reply to Mailing list" do what I expect from those headers. "Reply" should reply to the "From:" address (or Reply-to if it is present).

Oh, and it's version 1.9.7.
