Version:           0.10.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
OS:                Linux

How to reproduce:
Start Kontact (or Knode itself)
Retrieve new messages in any subscribed newsgroup
Mark all messages read
Do not exit Kontact or Knode but kill it or restart KDE
The messages marked read before, appear unread again (but are not displayed bold)

This is a bit annoying, because I don't always cleanly exit Kontact (using the menu File->Quit) before shutting down the system or just restarting KDE. So after a new boot, the messages I manually marked read at the prior session(s) are shown unread again. If Kontact or Knode is closed cleanly (using the menu) and restarted, the problem doesn't occur.
