Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux Since I've switched from thunderbird to kmail one month ago, it happened twice that mail dissapears from a cached imap account. I have in fact two cached imap accounts, and some of the folders have the same name in the two accounts. I don't know exactly when it happends but sometimes kmail crashes and maybe it leaves the copy of the folder on disk in a inconsistent state and then next time it thinks that some of the mails are removed and it removes them from the server. Somebody should really investigate the conditions in which kmail removes mail from the server. I hope the bug can be found just by looking at the code because I'm nowhere close to reproducing the problem. Obviously this is a major bug which stops me from using kmail, I'll switch back to thunderbird for now.
Ah, just after submitting the bug, I've seen there is bug 135008 which says exactly the same. This one should be marked duplicate but I can't do that from my account.
