Description Lincoln Peters 2007-01-29 01:38:46 UTC
Version: 4.9.0 (depth9) (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-3-486

I use KOrganizer and a Palm m515 to keep track of my class schedule, and KPilot to sync the two. I put in KOrganizer two 1-hour recurring events that happen on Mondays and Wednesdays, starting next Monday. Two HotSyncs later, both classes were shown in KOrganizer as ending two days BEFORE they started (although the time of day was still correct), causing the first instance of each event to not be displayed.

The same problem surfaced one HotSync later with my Tuesday-Thursday classes (i.e. when I fixed the dates and re-sync'ed). However, the problem has not affected any of the recurring events that only occur once per week.

More details:

On closer examination, it looks like the start time for the events was shifted 2 days forward (as opposed to the end time being shifted 2 days backward). As far as I can tell, it affects every event that occurs twice per week, but not events that only occur once per week. (I don't have any events at this time that occur more than twice per week.)

On a related note, I tried doing a full sync after correcting the times, and my calendar was completely erased, both on the Palm and in KOrganizer. I'm filing a separate bug report for that issue.

Those bugs are similar, but I am not sure if they are the same: bug 140802, bug 137368.

Hi Lincoln,

Thanks for reporting this! Can you please try to reproduce this on the current version of KPilot?

Thank you for the bug report!! Also, I'd really appreciate your help in testing out KPilot from the really-soon-to-be-released KDE 4.2!!! =:)

Yeah, actually, I just tested this again tonight with KDE 4.2's KPilot and I don't see this anymore. Yay! =:)
