Description Bryan Miller 2006-11-15 00:36:43 UTC
Version: 4.6.0 (blivit) (using KDE 3.5.3-8.0.fc3.kde, Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg))
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 20050721 (Red Hat 3.4.4-2)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-rc2-T4x-8

Hi. This may be a feature request since I'm not sure if kpilot has been written to support tasks that repeat.

I currently do a lot of syncing between my Treo 650 and Korganizer on a Linux PC using kpilot. This works pretty well except that the todo conduit does not properly support todos that repeat. It doesn't matter whether the todo is defined in Tasks on the Treo or in Korganizer, after the sync only the date of the next occurance of the task gets transferred, the information about how the todo should repeat is lost. Repeating or recurring todos are very useful and are a standard feature of task organizing software, so it would be great if you could fix or implement this feature.

Thanks,
Bryan Miller

Those bugs are similar, but I am not sure if they are the same: bug 140802, bug 137368.
Comment 2 Bryan Miller 2007-03-29 16:35:44 UTC
Yes, these two reports are similar, and maybe related, but not the same. 140802 describes a problem with repeated events while this involves repeated todos. The code handling the two may be the same or related.

I may also have been having a problem with syncing repeated events. Events that fall on the same day of the week every year (like every 2nd Monday of March) seem to get shifted one day later than they should be after a kpilot/korganizer sync.

I just upgraded to Fedora Core 6 and KDE 3.5.5. I haven't tried syncing yet so I don't know if these problems persist.

Hi Bryan,

Sorry it's taken so long to get back in touch with you! Can you please try to reproduce this with the latest version of KPilot? It seems to work for me.

Thank you for the bug report!!

Also, I'd really appreciate your help in testing out KPilot from the really-soon-to-be-released KDE 4.2!!! =:)
