Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: gcc version 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux) OS: Linux Google recently changed the look of their Groups. Now, group messages are embedded in a scrollable region. In Konqueror (KHTML) the scrollable region is approximately 7 lines tall, regardless of the window size. If the window is made large, there is a huge white or background colored area below the scrollable region. For an example, go to http://groups.google.com/group/comp.periphs.printers/topics and click the first message link you see.
Hrm, I can't see it. What UA are you using?

I am using "default" identification. I tried Firefox 1.5 and Safari 1.2, but those give the same results.

I get the exact same thing as well. Always have to switch to Opera to read GG. KDE 3.5.6 SVN here.
For me, it worked fine in Konqueror until Google changed the appearance of Google Groups in the past couple of weeks.
Yes, but google groups Beta always had this issue, and google just released the Beta version now officially. To read google groups I have to use firefox (preferring news reader I have to because of proxy limitations). I have to admit that I have seen this appearance also once on firefox but reloading helped.
Now maps.google.de is affected too. Is google switching step by step to non html conform code or is it konquerors fault?
Google has not used standards-compliant code for many years, and practices the worst sorts of browser sniffing. However, it doesn't mean it's not our bug. In practice, though, Google websites are incredibly hard to debug, and so are often not the most effective time investments.
Will be really critical bug when google.com will fail on konqueror.
Paolo, I got you one that fits that description #145714. By the way, I still see this bug on KDE 3.5.6 in Debian/Sid. If I could personally reopen it, I would.
Can not reproduce (using KDE 4.11.4)
