Description Ask 2007-01-09 06:28:01 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Using Composer in Kmail for writing Japanese, there is a problem when writing inside existing lines.

The error occurs when writing a line of text in japanese, clicking somewhere inside that line and trying to type new characters. In Composer, you may be able to write one or two characters, but anything after that is deleted automatically.

This bug means that it is impossible to add characters/words to an already written line, unless you write them somewhere else and copy-paste them in.

Bump...

This is still present in KDE 3.5.6 meaning no-one in Japan can use Kmail properly.
