Description Luk van den Borne 2007-01-05 19:33:09 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
Compiler: GCC 4.1.2 20061215 (prerelease)
OS: Linux

Sorry for the long and confusing description, but I didn't know how to formulate it more clearly.

Anyway, here is how to reproduce it:
1. Goto a website that has a favicon, for example http://dot.kde.org
2. Enter another url in the locationpanel, but do not go there. For example http://www.kde.org
3. Open a new tab or go to another tab that was already open.

Now the favicon of the url that you entered has replaced the favicon of the website that is actually displayed (dot.kde.org). It occurs for both remote and local addresses.

Hrm, instead of the favicon of www.kde.org I get just a "blank" icon. SVN r620k

That's because the favicon of www.kde.org is probably not in your cache. If you enter an url that you've never visited before you'll get a "blank document" icon.

It happens in kde4 trunk 20080430.
