Description Alfonso Tarantini 2006-11-21 18:33:45 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

If the inbox is empty, Kmail automatically selects the first incoming message when the mail is checked. If the "automatically mark the message as read" option is enabled, after the desired timeout the first incoming message is also marked as read, decrementing by one the counter in the system tray.
I think this is ok if the user manually checks for new mail, but I don't think it should happen if the mail is checked automatically. Infact I happened to "miss" the arrival of a single email a couple of times (and once I lost an ebay auction for this reason).
