Description Sergio 2006-10-06 13:33:39 UTC
Version: 1.9.4 (using KDE 3.5.4, compiled sources)
Compiler: Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-22mdksmp

I have an IMAP account.

Here, I am trying to filter messages to other folders based on their subjects.
I have set up the filters, and I have selected all the messages. Then I have run "Message->Apply Filter".

In spite of the fact that the filter rules only need to check the "subject" of messages, which are ready available, kmail tries to download every single message from the server.

With about 2000 messages this takes ages. To do the same thing thunderbird takes a snap. Please, optimize IMAP support in kmail.

Duplicate of Bug #125084?
Comment 2 Philip Rodrigues 2006-11-15 21:50:45 UTC
Certainly related to 125084, but not quite a dupe, I guess. I'll mark this as dupe of 119553, though, since they *are* the same
