Version: all KDE (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs Compiler: gcc-4.1.1 OS: Linux Hi all ! This is Blocker bug (!) for non-English people. When I use Russian, I cannot use standard keyboard shortcuts for editing like - ctrl + a, (slect all), ctrl + c (copy), ctrl + x(cut), ctrl + v(paste). This bug makes text editing with software like KWrite, KEdit, Kate and KDevelop virtually impossible for non-English texts. The problem exists will *all* KDE software on *all* versions of KDE. tested on: 1) SUSE Linux 10.0, KDE 3.4.2 2) Mandriva Linux 2007 BETA3, KDE 3.5.4 Current bahavior: KDE takes ctrl+"a" while "a" is interpreted as english letter. Correct (fixed) behavior should be: KDE takes ctrl+"a" while "a" is interpreted as scancode by the kernel while I press ctrl (or alt), so the shortcut will work correctly with all languages. Also, in Windows it works this way. Please resolve this blobker bug before KDE 3.5.5 is out ! -Alexey. 2.sep.2006.
