Description mchugh19@yahoo.com 2006-08-20 21:42:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Request to please support the rio karma with amarok. http://www.freakysoft.de/html/libkarma/ seems to have recent releases of the libkarma library.

While I generally use the karma with it's java client over the network, it would still be very nice to be able to transfer songs from the local machine.

Thanks

kelk * r582980 amarok/trunk/extragear/multimedia/amarok/ (10 files in 3 dirs):

basic support for the Rio Karma media device using libkarma (http://freakysoft.de/html/libkarma/) and omfs (http://linux-karma.sourceforge.net/)
Comment 2 mchugh19@yahoo.com 2008-12-12 05:43:12 UTC
With the release of amarok 2.0 the rio karma is again unsupported. The support in 1.4 is pretty nice with the exception of playlists (bug #155877 with patch) so it would be cool if that code could be ported to work with 2.0.

Thanks

I'm ok with this being closed as the product is no longer sold and pretty obsolete by now.
