Version:           0.12.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources
Compiler:          gcc version 4.0.2 20050901 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux) 
OS:                Linux

When I've install kopete 0.12.1 (before I has kopete 0.11.1 and all worked good) and tried to log in, it says, that ICQ server does not accept this client version.
If I use AIM protocol with this settings, all works, but I cannot select encoding

Kopete 0.12.2 will be released soon with a fix.  you can already try svn if you want.
