Version: 1.9.3 (using KDE 3.5.3 Level "a" , unofficial build of SUSE ) Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-15.10-default Hi, I'm using dimap with Courier Mail server and KMail 1.9.3. I just tried to rename (via the "properties" menu) a dimap folder. This went fine, although instead of renaming, KMail removed the folder! Suspecting the new folder just wasn't subscribed to, I resubscribed the new folder but it was empty! All my messages were lost. IMHO this is quite a critical bug ... if necessary I can supply a test account on my IMAP server (spamfreemail.de) which you can use to reproduce it. Thanks! Jens
I'm sorry, but I can't reproduce this with my dIMAP account. I tried all of the following: - rename the folder locally, then sync Result: the folder is renamed on the server - rename the folder on the server, then sync Result: the local folder is deleted and then the "new" folder is downloaded - rename the folder locally and on the server (different new name) Result: the local folder is deleted and then the "new" folder is downloaded - rename the folder locally and on the server (same new name) Result: nothing much happens (I think; maybe the messages were all downloaded again) In all cases the folder was not lost. Therefore two things would be good: a) A detailed description how to reproduce the bug with a new user (i.e. with a fresh configuration). b) If I still can't reproduce with the help of the detailed description a test account on your server would be great. But let's first try a).
Hi, some additional info: the folder was named "HC Hamburg" (maybe the space in the name caused trouble) and was renamed to "HC+CS" (maybe the "+" in the name was the problem). It was in a subfolder of INBOX named "Mailinglisten". I'll try to reproduce it. Meanwhile you can sign up for a free mail account at spamfreemail.de (my service ;) ) and try it there. Thank you for replying so quickly! :) Jens
This looks the same as bug 111756.
