Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.3) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: GCC 4.1 arch=k8, i686 OS: Linux Whatever settings I try in KMail - KWalletManager pops always up and asks for the wallet password (twice: receive, send!). If I cancel this dialog, it asks me, if I want to store the password in the KMail configuration. Clicking on [store password] stores it in ~/.kde/...kmail config file, but on restarting KMail nothing changes to this behavour: wallet always pops up. I tried to configure the access lists (allow and disable) on KWalletManager - nothing changes! If disable wallet at all, it works correctly. Claudio
I think this is a duplicate of #97925, no?
Yes, exactly. But this was in 2005-01 and now it's 2006-09 and we have KDE 3.5.4! Why didn't the developpers fix this bug in 1.5 years? I have patched the source code (networkaccount.cpp) and compiled it by myself and now it works for me...
Please don't complain why developers don't fix it. It's open source after all. And if you have fixed it, why didn't you submit a patch?
Please submit eventual patches at bug 97925. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 97925 ***
Sorry for the words. My patch is useless for others - I think, because I have commented out the whole wallet dialog in 'networkaccount.cpp'.
