Description gmud 2006-05-30 13:56:43 UTC
Version: 0.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

The list of recently opened files covers other menu items in file menu when one or more of the recently opened files has a long filename.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a PDF file with a very long filename/pathname
2. Click "File" and move the mouse pointer slowly down. Now try to get the item "Save As...", it will be covered by the list of recently opened files.

I can reproduce with KDE 3.5.5.

This should be handled at libs level: no menu should be allowed to cover its direct parent.

This makes 129894 a dupe.

Sorry, but Qt does this. Nothing we can do about this.

So, did you file a bug report at trolltech then?
